Google to remake computer operating sytems geared for online life

Google is a company that wants us to live on the Web by pushing that agenda further Thursday as it unveiled details of its Chrome computer operating system and plans to have the OS in a new kind of ultra-cheap portable computer in time for Christmas 2010.
The operating system is a reversal of traditional computing, where the Internet browser is a subset of what the computer does. With the Google system, the Internet comes first, and the stuff we do on computers happens to be there too.

Google has just bought a company called Gizmo5 which is an online phone company similar to Skype only a heck of a lot smaller. The purchase price was $30 million. With this new company under the Google domination umbrella they hope to be your new phone company and possibly ruduce your phone bill to nothing!
The much awaited release of ‘Call of Duty’ did not dissapoint as it sold in the neighborhood of 4.7 million copies or $310 million on its first day, setting a new record for the video game industry. Activison (ATVI) was up over 2% a third of the way through the trading day on the news. Sales are expected to top 11 million units by the end of 2009.
